Digital Realty Expands with Launch of LKK2 Data Center in Lagos

Digital Realty has officially launched LKK2, its third data center in Lagos, strengthening Nigeria’s role as a leading digital hub in West Africa.

The launch event, held at Eko Hotel on the 22nd, convened key stakeholders from the digital infrastructure, telecoms, and connectivity ecosystem.

The LKK2 facility brings nearly 2MW of IT capacity and 13,000 sq. ft. of data hall space in Lekki. Interconnected with LKK1, the landing station for the 2Africa subsea cable, LKK2 provides enterprises, hyperscalers, and service providers with low-latency global connectivity across 33 countries. Through ServiceFabric™, the facility also seamlessly links with Lagos’ primary internet peering points – LOS1 and LOS2 – ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure.

The LKK2 will accelerate Africa’s digital transformation, delivering faster, more reliable, and cost-efficient internet services.
